Es war einmal, dass die Trapper, die Trekker und sogar die Soldaten keine Schlafsäcke trugen. Sie hatten Deckenrollen dabei. Wolle war bis vor kurzem das beste Deckenmaterial. Damals, noch vor einigen Jahrzehnten, entstanden Nylon-Stoffe. Während des Vietnamkrieges erschien eine neue Decke - der Poncho Liner. Ultraleichte Decke, die als wärmender Liner für Regenschutzponcho dient.
In der australischen Umgangssprache bedeutet „Swagman“ einen reisenden Arbeiter. So etwas wie ein amerikanischer Cowboy oder ein Trapper, der gelegentlich nach einer Arbeit an der Grenze Ausschau hält. Der Unterschied war, dass der australische Swagman zu Fuß unterwegs war und sein gesamtes Hab und Gut in einer Bettrolle beförderte. Mit unserer Swagman Roll® begrüßen wir diese unerschrockenen Männer, die an kühlen Morgenstunden in ihren feuchten Decken zittern - aber mit unserer Swagman Roll® müssen Sie diesen besonderen Teil ihres Lebensstils niemals nachahmen. Es besteht aus einem dünnen Nylon-Gewebe, gefüllt mit einem der besten Isoliermaterialien, von denen die Menschheit je geträumt hat - dem Climashield® Apex ™.
Swagman Roll® ist keine gewöhnliche Decke. Es ist eher ein Multifunktionswerkzeug, das überall dort eingesetzt werden kann, wo eine warme Abdeckung erforderlich ist. Sie können einen Poncho-Liner, einen Notfallschlafsack verwenden, Ihren normalen Schlafsack damit aufwerten, ihn wie eine Decke einwickeln, Ihre Hängematte damit auskleiden - oder einfach als alleinstehenden, langen, warmen Mantel tragen.
