Eine Hommage an die Männer und Frauen, die im Tex Creek-Gebiet im Südosten von Idaho jagen und fischen. Das Wildlife-Management-Gebiet mit 2 nationalen Wäldern beherbergt eine Fülle an verschiedenen Wildtieren und ist ab etwa 16 km von der TOPS-Manufaktur aus erreichbar. Freiland, hohe schroffe Berge, Wasserstraßen und große Wälder bieten Jägern und Fischern vielfältiges Terrain: Elch, Bär, Berglöwe, Wolf, Elch, Fasan, Truthahn, Wachtel, Kaninchen, Ente, Gans, Steelhead und Lachs. Die Tatsache, dass diese Gegend um Tex Creek, so nahe bei uns ist, ermöglicht es unseren Designern und Entwicklern, Feldversuche in ihrem eigenen Hinterhof durchzuführen. Da viele unserer Mitarbeiter in diesem Umfeld aufgewachsen sind, haben sie reichlich Gelegenheit, den Einsatz unserer Messer / Werkzeuge unter widrigsten Bedingungen zu bewerten.
Das Tex Creek XL ist ein schönes Beispiel für ein hochwertiges, gut aussehendes Arbeitsmesser. Der Designer, Leo Espinoza, hat dieser Klinge ein neues Aussehen verliehen. Bei TOPS nennen wir es "Black River Wash". Die unbeschichtete Oberfläche zeigt deutlich die Wärmebehandlungslinie entlang der Schneide. Das Muster aus dunklem Stahl ist auf jeder Klinge einzigartig. Dies erzeugt den "eingebauten, rustikalen Look" und fühlt sich an wie ein altes Paar bequeme Stiefel.
Die abgedunkelten Micarta-Skalen werden auf den Griff geschraubt und an der Rückseite des Griffs wird ein großer Kabelhalter hervorgehoben. Die Griffe sind so konstruiert und gebaut, dass sie einen guten Halt und längere Nutzungsdauer bieten. Ein einfaches und nutzbares Design wird durch eine robuste 3/16 "starke Klinge und einen vollen Zapfengriff verstärkt. Dies ist ein Messer, das in diesem Bereich hervorragende Leistungen erbringt und wie ein alter vertrauter Freund aussieht und sich anfühlt, wo immer Sie sind.
